Handicap Index Calculator
Golf Handicap Index Calculator (18 Holes)
Before you can determine your
course handicap,
you need to know your
handicap index.
Use this calculator to compute your 18-hole golf handicap index.
- Enter the
course rating,
course slope, and
adjusted gross score
from each of your most recent rounds of golf. You can find the
rating and slope on the scorecard.
The USGA requires at least 5 rounds and at most 20.
However, even if you have fewer than 5 rounds,
this calculator will provide a preliminary estimate.
- We recommend that you also enter the date that you played
each round, although that is optional. (After you have entered
20 rounds, the USGA requires that each subsequent new entry replace
the oldest previous
entry; so eventually you will need the dates.)
- Then, click the "Calc" button, and the calculator displays
your handicap index.
Hint: Use the
"Save" button to save your inputs. In future sessions, use the
"Load" button to retrieve saved data. That way, when you update your
handicap index, you won't need to re-type old data.
